St. Francis de Sales Seminary Mosaic Preservation

St. Francis, Wisconsin

Anticipating a major remodeling of the seminary campus, a large old building, known as Clare Hall, was torn down. This building included a chapel where many priests in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee were formed. To honor the history of that building and the men who went through there, the seminary wanted to preserve the chapel sanctuary mosaic. This project involved structurally reinforcing the walls of the mosaic, making them weatherproof, and creating a well-lit focal point on one end of the campus.
